What Are The Cub Scouts Tiger Requirements? (2024)
As of June 2024 Cub Scouts is offering 6 required adventures and 17 elective adventures to choose from. To earn the Tiger Rank scouts will need to complete all 6 required adventures and they can pick any 2 from the elective adventures offered.

Tiger Cub Scout - Required Adventures
The following 6 Adventures are required for a Tiger Scout to receive their Tiger badge. You can click the link to see all of the requirements for each adventure. For all the details of each adventure the Tiger Scout Handook will be very helpful. If you would like to have a bit of cheat sheet for all the requirements we have a printable Quick Overview that is a great addition to your Cub Scout Binder.
Bobcat
- Get to know the members of your den.
- Recite the scout oath with your den, including your tiger adult partner.
- Have your Tiger AP or den leader read the scout law to you. demonstrate your understanding of being trustworthy, helpful, or friendly.
- demonstrate the cub scout sign, salute, & handshake. show how each is used.
- Share with your Tiger AP, a time when you have demonstrated the Cub Scout motto, “Do Your Best.”
- At home with a parent or legal guardian, do the activities in the booklet “How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.”
Tigers In The Wild
- Identify the Cub Scout 6 Essentials. Show what you do with each item.
- With your Tiger ap or den leader, learn about the outdoor code
- With your den, pack, or family, take a walk outside spending at least 20 minutes exploring the outdoors with your Cub Scout 6 essentials. While outside, identify things that you see with your Tiger AP that are natural Vs. Manmade.
- Identify common animals that are found where you live. learn which of these animals is domesticated & which animal is wild. draw a picture of your favorite animal.
- Look for a tree where you live. Describe how this tree is helpful
Team Tiger
- Play a game with your den or family members that has a set of rules. Discuss why Rules are important to the game you are playing.
- With your tiger adult partner, choose a job that will help your team. Follow through by doing it at least once.
- Play a game that requires at least 2 teams with your den, or 2 family members. Afterward, discuss what it means to be part of a team & what makes a good team member.
- Participate in a service project.
